Obtaining a work visa from the Saudi Arabian
Embassy in Ottawa.
A. Visa application form:
Immediately contact the Embassy in Ottawa and request a full work visa application package including a medical form and instructions. The embassy accepts faxed requests.

B. Educational Certificates

College Degree (BS or BA) that relates to your profession

Transcript of record

Certifications related to your profession.
Please go to a notary and have two notarized copies of each
document made.
Then send the original and the two copies to:

Please call the department of External Affairs and tell them what you
need first, let them advise you. Tell them to return the "duly attested"
documents to you. Basically the department of External Affairs is only
verifying that the notary is an authorized notary.
C. Criminal History Report
A country wide criminal search is required.
Your local police department will be able to help
you. (Make an extra copy for yourself)
D. Valid Passport Valid for at least 6 months.
E. Photographs Send 4 passport sized photos
(3 for the medical and 1 for the application).
12 additional photos must be taken with you when you
report to work.
F. Contract & Letter of Sponsorship - Sign one of the copies
of the contracts we sent you. There may also be a letter of invitation
in the package we sent you (or we will send it later, as soon as we receive
it). Both items must be included in your visa application.
G. Medical Exam (Form VF02, from Consular Section)

Make an appointment with your family physician & start on your
medical as soon as possible. Some of the lab tests may take 2 weeks for
the results. Lab test required:

HIV Serology Test from a Provincial Laboratory on the original
lab requisition form.

VDRL Test (RPR)

Rubella
-
Hepatitis B Test (Surface antigens & Surface antibodies)

Hepatitis C Test
-
Chest X Ray (PA & lateral views, report only) (do not
send the original x-ray)
Note: It is helpful to have the x-ray in
your possession upon arrival for your employee health file.

Mantoux TB Skin Test

Complete Blood Count
-
Urinalysis
-
Females - Pap Smear

If you are over 60, EKG test

Stool (ova & Parasites)
Have your physician complete the medical form. The original and a copy
must be sent with your application. The form must be stamped by either
the Provincial Licensing Authority or the Health Department. (They verify
the doctor is licensed) Copies of the above test results must be included
with your visa application.
MAKE AN ADDITIONAL COPY OF THE REPORT AND THE
TEST RESULTS TO TAKE WITH YOU.
H. Fees Enclose two money orders or certified checks payable to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia.
1. For $22.00 Canadian for visa application
2. For $13.50 Canadian for authentication of documents
J. If you worked in Saudi Arabia before you must
also present your letter of no objection.
K. Sending everything to the Embassy Once you have everything
send the package to:

Make sure to include a return receipt with your full name, address
& phone number.
Call us as soon as you are ready to send your application to the
