![]() Presented By Professional Systems & Services, Inc. Our Mission As a school committed to excellence, we will educate and inspire our students to be responsible, productive and ethical world citizens with the skills and passion to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and learn continuously. We accomplish this in an American educational environment characterized by measurable standards implemented by a our staff in partnership with students, parents and the community. Al Hada International School Today The Al Hada International School - Taif, KSA (AHIS) is private, co-educational day school. The school provides schooling for dependents of physicians and other non Saudis staff who are employed at Al Hada Hospital. AHIS currently serves students from over 20 different nationalities. The teaching staff is comprised mostly of European/North American teachers who are recruited internationally or who live in the expatriate community. The school year begins in late August and continues through early June. SAIS-AL HADA is an American International school that follows the Virginia State Standards of Learning. It is located in the Eastern side of Saudi Arabia, high in the mountains of a resort area and near to Mecca and Medina, and the coastal capital of Jeddah on the Red Sea. The school is a dependency of the Saudi Arabian Military Hospital, and the students are children of expatriate doctors and administrators of the Hospital. The classes are small, there are no discipline problems, and the curriculum and students require challenging work. The early grades have quite a few ESL students, but by the upper elementary grades, they are all proficient and pass the SATS around or above the 75 Percentile. Good lesson planning is a major responsibility of teachers. BENEFITS: Round trip airfare to/from point of origin is provided every year of your contract. Salaries, which are tax free, include full housing and utilities, hospitalization, and regular, free transportation to town and shopping centers. The city of Taif is approximately 20 minutes by bus from the Hospital Compound. The apartments are fully furnished, have swimming pools, tennis courts, modern gym facilities and most amenities. The weather is excellent year round, with winters being like Fall. VACATION: There are three vacation periods: summer (mid-June-mid-Aug), 3 weeks in Dec/Jan., and approximately 2 weeks during the Holy Pilgrimage (Hajj), which comes in Feb. or March. The area is completely safe, and public attitude is generally positive. Recreation is limited, due to religious restrictions, with private parties on foreign compounds, trips to Jeddah and the Red Sea for some of the world's best exotic diving, and shopping at ancient souks to ultra-modern, high end shopping centers. The faculty now has a custom of organizing social events for staff and friends in different locations with different themes, at least once a month. They include such things as theme parties, desert Bedouin picnics, diving & beach trips, private concert parties, private and/or pot-luck dinners, bar-b-q's, pool parties, dress-up/costume parties, etc. Other expatriate groups organize activities, providing social events regularly. You can create these opportunities. FACILITIES AHIS's is located on the AlHada Hospital Campus.
